Another edition of JUMP - the new business competition promoted by the Municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão, through Famalicão Made IN and in partnership with UPTEC - Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto - is now open. 

This year's edition of JUMP is open to the presentation of new business projects and creative and innovative ideas in the area of the "Green and Digital Transition".

Since its first edition in 2019, the competition has sought to promote an entrepreneurial culture of developing new projects, attracting and attracting new companies or the creation of new ideas and projects with high business potential, by facilitating access to appropriate funding mechanisms, as well as strategic business partnerships.

"We are a markedly entrepreneurial territory and we are committed to promoting public policies that foster opportunities and encourage innovation and creativity," says Mayor Mário Passos. The mayor also emphasised the involvement of the business community "which is sponsoring the competition" and UPTEC "which with us shares a strategic vision for the region, encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship".

JUMP has an attractive 9,000 euros in prizes, 5,000 of which will go to the winning project.

Applications must be submitted by 7 April via this link. 

The jury will then assess the projects and the prize will be awarded in May.
