Joscho Stephan - Is a world star, living legend of Gypsy Jazz, movement of which was precursor Django Reinhart and that is already in the history of music. World-wide recognized, the German guitarist Joscho Stephan and his trio, is representative of a rare and peculiar guitar technique and is considered by the North American Acoustic Guitar Magazine "the guarantor of the future of the Gipsy Jazz guitar at world level". Despite his youth, after four highly acclaimed CDs and a DVD, Joscho Stephan has made his way into the illustrious circle of the world's finest Gipsy Swing musicians. His debut album "Swinging Strings" was voted CD of the month by the American Guitar Player magazine. Great musicians like Paquito de Rivera, James Carter, Charlie Mariano or Grady Tate have enthusiastically praised the talented guitarist when they have played together. The style in question (Gypsy Jazz or Jazz Manouche) was created in the early 20th century by Django Reinhardt. Joscho Stephan is considered to be at least one of the best and, in the opinion of many, the best guitarist of this musical genre, alive.
