05-03-2024
International Women's Day, celebrated on 8 March, will be the occasion for several cultural initiatives in Vila Nova de Famalicão, namely at the Casa das Artes and the National Railway Museum - Lousado.

The presentation of the play "Get Rid Of Me", next Friday, a co-creation by Sandra Barata Belo and Raquel Oliveira, written by Ana Lázaro, with music by Luísa Sobral, marks the start of another edition of 'Poética da Palavra - Encontros de Teatro'. The curtains open at 21h30 in the large auditorium of Famalicão's Casa das Artes, and tickets can be obtained from the municipal theatre's box office or via the Online Ticket portal.

At the Railway Museum in Lousado, a tribute will be paid to level crossing guards with a conference dedicated to this endangered profession, starting at 15h00. It will begin with the presentation of the book "Guardas de Passagem de Nível" (Level Crossing Guards) by Carlos Cipriano, followed by a talk with the author about this endangered profession. Admission is free.
