Bernardino Machado and José Leite de Vasconcelos are two key figures of Portuguese Science and Culture between the end of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century. The correspondence that witnessed their relationship as colleagues, scientific partners, friends and accomplices in the creation of the Portuguese Ethnographic Museum, today the National Archaeology Museum, was the origin of this exhibition.
