Humberto Santos was born on the 6th of November 1978 in Vila Nova de Famalicão, he lives in the city of Trofa. The call for arts has always motivated him and it is with relative naturalness that he enrols and attends the Technological Course of Arts and Crafts in the Secondary School of Trofa, it is at this time that he studies for the first time History of Art, Theory of Art and Design, Serigraphy, Engraving, Photography and Painting. At this time he participates in some exhibitions of school works, it is also during this period that he receives his first prizes, where we can highlight the "Premio Henrique Perfecto Melon" awarded in 1998 by the Rotary Club of Santo Tirso. In 1999, he matriculates in ESEF, in the Degree in P.E.B: 2nd cycle variant of Visual and Technological Education, he was part of the Association Academy of IESF as President of the Cultural Department. In 2003, he finished the course and started his teaching career.
From that moment that his work begins to be known by the public since his pictorial production gains a greater regularity, and thus being of highlight the various individual and collective exhibitions held in: Fafe, Sever do Vouga, Vila Nova de Famalicão, Trofa, Felgueiras, Lixa, Régua, Coimbra, Aguiar da Beira, Sintra, Guimarães, Porto, Chaves, Lisbon ... Work this already recognized with the award of Fifth prize in the National Painting Contest, Herdade do Esporão - Diário de Noticias "Alentejo Alma Viva do Vinho" 2005 and in 2006 the prize - Young Artist 2005 awarded by the City Council of Trofa, as well as being represented in public and private collections. In 2009, he received the first prize in the photography contest "Retratos Agrícolas de Penedono" and in 2012 the Third prize in the Photography Contest - Industrial Tourism 2012 of Vila Nova de Famalicão.
