29-12-2022
The Museum of Artistic Ceramics of the Castro Alves Foundation, in Bairro, hosted last 27th December, the first session of the Economic and Social Forum for Vale do Ave. Dedicated to the theme 'Innovation', the premiere was attended by the Mayor, Mário Passos, and the MEP Lídia Pereira, who addressed the 'Relaunching the European Economy through Innovation of the Productive Fabric'.
The forum, organised by the Castro Alves Foundation with the support of the Town Hall of Vila Nova de Famalicão and the Parish Council of Bairro, "aims to be a platform for debate and knowledge sharing with all actors in the region, so that we can, together, leverage actions and policies to overcome the challenges we face today", as stated by the President of the Castro Alves Foundation, Bruno Pereira da Silva.
"Famalicão has a very clear strategy with clear results. It is one of the major economic forces of the country", mentioned Mário Passos in his speech, also highlighting that "the companies are one of the main motors of prosperity of a territory (...) it is up to the public power to provide favourable conditions, so that the growth continues".
Last Tuesday's session was attended by representatives of companies and entities linked to science and research and was the kick-off for an initiative that will have several sessions throughout 2023, directed to the entire Vale do Ave region.
